Mumbai City- The Business Capital of India

Mumbai, formerly called as Bombay, is the capital city of Maharashtra. One of the cities of the country, Mumbai city shelters people of different religions, cultures and ethnicities. Mumbai is settled on the western coast of India. Being very close to the sea, it has various harbors. Often Mumbai city is called as the “city of joy”. It got its name in the year 1995 and since then it lives with the same name Mumbai. Mumbai is one such city which has impressed and stunned every single being of the nation. The nation’s proud city receives immense traffic of travellers each year.

Well, not to sound very dramatic in my writing style, I will try to narrate or tell you some good facts of the city from a little different angle.

The first and obvious thing is getting Mumbai. Being such a popular and developed city of the country, Mumbai is very well-connected by air, by Indian Railways and by road.

The most noticeable thing in Mumbai city is of course the Mumbai train system. Working so efficient all around the clock, Mumbai train system is so well organized.

The main Mumbai railway station is Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus, formerly called as Victoria Terminus. Dadar Terminus and Kurla Terminus are two other important railway stations of Mumbai. Bandra and Mumbai Central are the prime terminals. Mumbai falls under the control of both Central and Western Railways. A lot of business class trains unite the Mumbai with prime cities like Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Goa, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram. You can reach Mumbai from various parts of the by using the direct train services of Rajhdhani trains and even Duronto trains.

Also, while getting around the city, using local trains, the prime transportation means can be a perfect idea. In a total, there are 4 lines of local trains that cover the city all over.

Western Railways run between Churchgate to Virar, Central Railway runs between Bombay V.T. to Karjat, Harbour Line runs between Bombay V.T. to Mankhurd and one more railway line runs between Bombay V.T. to New Mumbai. All these trains run from 4 am in the morning to 1 am in the night and are called as "locals" by the Mumbai people. Undoubtedly, they are amongst the most widely used means of public transport here.

Well, life in Mumbai city never exhausts or ceases, it’s always running. The city homes everything that can take one to great heights if he works hard for it. Giving shelter to innumerous people from all over the world, Mumbai city is simply amazing and full of energy. Truly enchanting, Mumbai is full of life and excitement.
