Tirupati Yatra - List of Temples

Tiruchanur Padmavati Templ:Between Tirupati and Tirumala Hill, the Tiruchanur Padmavati Temple is another popular pilgrimage halt. A gold vimana tower with lions at each corner surmounts the sanctuary, which contains a black stone image of goddess Lakshmi with one silver eye.

Varahaswami Temple: The Varahaswami temple, situated near the Venkateswara temple, on the banks of Swami Pushkarani tank, is said to be even more ancient. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Varahaswami. It is said that the Adi Sesha himself forms the seven hills on which the temple of the Lord is located.

Kalahasti Temple: Sri Kalahasti temple, situated 36 km away is famous for its Vayudeva temple, which is the only shrine of the god of wind in India. Constructed in the twelfth century by the Chola king, Rajarajendra, Vayu is incarnated as Lord Shiva and worshipped as Kalahasteeswara.

Narayanavanam: Located 36 km away is the temple dedicated to Lord Kalyana Venkateswaraswamy. It is believed that this is the venue of the sacred marriage between Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi.
