Khajuraho Dance Festival takes place every year from 25th February to 2nd March. The festival is a regular feature of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism, which is celebrating the festival regularly since 2002. The weeklong Khajuraho Festival has already become popular as an event to enjoy classical dance performances presented in a dreamlike setting of splendidly illuminated temples.
The temples of Khajuraho present a unique display of skill and art in the sculptures that depict courtly love including dance and music. Interestingly making Khajuraho a befitting venue to hold the cultural festival highlighting the various classical dances of India!
The Khajuraho Dance Festival witnesses the coming together of some of the best artists and performers that have made a mark in the field dance and music. Renowned artists come from the various states of the country to participate in the festival.
