Bandhavgarh National Park : If you have somehow missed the Tiger at Kanha, you will definitely spot one at Bandhavgarh. Once known for its White Tigers, Bandhavgarh has the highest density of tiger population in India. With rocky cliffs and densely forested valley bottoms, Bandhavgarh is surrounded by the Vindhyachal mountain range. Spread over 448 sq. kms, one of the most amazing sights of the National Park is the Bandhavgarh Fort which sits sedately overlooking the entire forest. One can spot tigers, leopards, deer and some of the most rare species of birds here.

Panna National Park, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh

Panna National Park spreads along the river Ken an area of about 543 square miles located in the Chhatarpur area of Madhya Pradesh in India. Its jungle harbours more than 200 species of wildlife. It’s a very near of distance of around 57 km from Khajuraho. The tiger can be glimpsed here along with other rare species such as the leopard, wolf and Gharial. Herds of Nilgai, Chinkara and Sambhar are a common sight too.

Alternating valleys and plateaus, grassy fields, steep gorges and escarpments, forms enchanting cascade, presenting a breathtaking view. A Gharial sanctuary along the river Ken near the spectacular Raneh Falls is an added attraction for tourists. The river attracts a number of avian species, some pretty and others good songsters.

Hatkeshwari Temple and Shiva Temple - Jubbal, Himachal Pradesh

The Hatkeshwari Temple is not one of those five-by-five bathroom-titled rooms that are passed off as "ancient" temples in tourist brochures. Locals believe the Pandavas first built this temple during their exile. However, experts date it to between 800 and 1000 AD. It was originally built in the Shikhara Style, but was later restyled by a ruler of the erstwhile Jubbal princely state in the late-19th century. It now looks like a two-story pagoda in slate and deodar wood. However, the sanctum sanctorum and the idol remain unchanged.
